Any Solace?

In the computer store today I noticed a game called ``Solace,''
which I don't remember seeing discussed here. The package is a bit
vague but it looks like it's a fancier version of Risk. Has anyone
played it, and is it something that would satisfy those times when you
want to take over the world, but haven't the four weeks to devote to a
good game of Europa Universalis II?

Its like a generic game of Risk...doesn't seem to have alternate scenarios.
Its OK as this type of game goes. Look for the demo at versiontracker.com
first.

I find EU2 very intimidating..and the latest patch does not work on my copy
of the game...they are looking into this problem as I am not the only one.
